Kim Jee-woon’s foreign-language Oscars contender, “The Age of Shadows,” remained on top of the Korean box office for the third consecutive weekend. It suffered a steep decline of 78% following the holiday period.

The Warner Bros. release earned $3.49 million from 459,000 admissions between Friday and Sunday. After three weekends, the period espionage drama has accumulated a total of $51.1 million.

Biblical epic “Ben-Hur” and Lee Byung-hun-starring Western actioner “The Magnificent Seven” also remained in second and third, respectively. “Ben-Hur” earned $1.42 million between Friday and Sunday for a total of $9.13 million after two weekends. “Magnificent Seven” added $789,000 to extend its total to $6.62 million after two weekends.
