Thanksgiving is finally here, and people everywhere are scrambling to find the best harvest table decor, seasonal serving dishes, and ingredients to bring their holiday feast to life. Of course, not everyone plans ahead, and even those who do often forget an item or two in the mad dash to stock up on Thanksgiving essentials. Because of this, many folks resort to day-of shopping to snag that one last item to make their Thanksgiving Day spread complete. While grocery stores typically remain open on Thanksgiving, the same can’t be said of many retail stores. With that in mind, you might be wondering…

Is Kohl’s open on Thanksgiving Day 2021?

Renowned for selling a wide variety of clothing, shoes, jewelry, and home goods—including seasonal decor—many folks rely on Kohl’s for their everyday and holiday shopping. While the department store chain (which, fun fact, is the largest in America) does have extended hours during the holiday season to make shopping a less stressful feat, the store will be closed on Thanksgiving.

“The decision comes after positive response from last year's closure on Thanksgiving Day, as well as evolving preferences in how and when customers want to shop during the holiday season,” the press release states.

Just because the store is closed, however, doesn’t mean that it won’t still be partaking in Black Friday. Instead, Kohl's will be offering a variety of online deals on Thanksgiving so that shoppers can shop early, while also hosting a bounty of in-store discount activations on Black Friday and through the weekend. To take advantage of the markdowns, simply head over to kohls.com or download the Kohl’s app. Happy shopping!
