Everything You Need to Know About Justin Glaze on Katie Thurston’s ‘Bachelorette’ Season
Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette is almost over!! With just two finalists left after a highly dramatic season, it is definitely time for us to investigate the remaining dudes the fullest extent of the law...which brings us to Justin Glaze.

Justin Is an Investor AND an Artist
In a true Best of Both Worlds™ situation, this dude has what ABC describes as a “great career in investment sales” over in Baltimore, and he’s a talented artist. I mean, we all saw him paint those amazingly realistic roses during The Bachelorette premiere, right? It’s called talent!!
^Love that he did this one for a good cause!
Please note Katie was very impressed by Justin’s rose art and his paintbrush entrance, during which he made many jokes about “stroking,” sigh, and she even gave him her first kiss of the night. As he put it during an on-camera confessional, “Sharing that first kiss with Katie was incredible. I could feel the chemistry already. Feelings are starting to develop, she definitely left me wanting some more.”
He Has Very Specific Taste in Soulmates
According to a lengthy musing the poor person tasked with putting together ABC’s contestant bios wrote, Justin (whose parents have been married for over 30 years!) is looking for “someone who is equally beautiful on the inside and out, trustworthy and committed to the idea of teamwork in a relationship. She’s passionate about fitness but also loves to enjoy a day barbecuing and a good bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.”
Noted! Especially the part about wine, ’cause same.
The Wildest Thing Justin Has Done for Love Is....
Travel from Baltimore to New York City in the middle of a freakin’ blizzard. In other words, he WILL brave the elements and potentially freeze his ass off for you. How romantic!
He Does! Not! Dance!
To quote his ABC bio, “Justin does not like to dance. At all.” So, if you see him at a local dance club, don’t you dare ask him to hit the floor with you because the answer is no.
He’s in the Middle of a Controversy Rn
Some Reddit users unearthed Justin’s old tweets from 2009 and 2010, which according to People, “use homophobic slurs and makes insulting comments about Black women while also promoting colorism.” Justin later discussed the tweets during his appearance on the Bachelor Happy Hour while speaking to Becca Kufrin and Bachelorette cohost Tayshia Adams.
“As I reflect on everything I just went through with this whole journey, oftentimes people ask me what I took from it,” he said, per People. “And one of the biggest takeaways for me was just my personal growth, and one of those things is being able to hold myself accountable, which is something that historically I wasn’t able to do. So, I have no issue with owning up and apologizing from the bottom of my heart for the really hurtful words that I used.”
Justin acknowledged that his comments were “ignorant and hurtful” and claims he’s in “much different place now” and is ashamed of the words he used.
“I know as I’ve matured and evolved and grown as a person, I’m a totally different version of Justin than I was,” he said. “I know those words would never come out of my mouth, because I know the weight that they carry, no matter what context they’re used in. I understand how much allyship and support those groups that I offended need.”
Concluding his statement, Justin said he needs to “be fully held accountable for my actions and my words. I fully understand that, and I just want people to know that I’ve changed immensely since then and I'm fully aware of the weight that my words carry.”
