"Kingsman 3" takes over "Bond 25's" original release date

Another super spy has taken over the release date originally reserved for James Bond

"Kingsman 3" is said to mark "the conclusion of the Harry Hart-Eggsy relationship".

24 Sep – With James Bond's 25th movie no longer opening in 2019, another super spy has stepped up to fill in the void in the release schedule.

The third instalment of the "Kingsman" franchise is now slotted to open in North America on 8 November 2019, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The release slot was left vacant after "Bond 25" got delayed to 2020 following Danny Boyle's departure from the Bond project.

Dubbed "Kingsman 3" for now, the third movie will see the return of Matthew Vaughn as both director and writer. Vaughn also previously helmed and wrote the first two movies, "Kingsman: The Secret Service" and "Kingsman: The Golden Circle".

Of course, stars Taron Egerton and Colin Firth and will be back as agents Eggsy and Harry Hart, respectively.

In an interview with Empire last June, Vaughn mentioned that "Kingsman 3" will mark "the conclusion of the Harry Hart-Eggsy relationship".

While it is not known whether the "Kingsman" movies will expand beyond Vaughn's planned trilogy (most likely yes since they don't do so shabbily at the box office), the director does already have plans for two spinoff movies and a TV series.

The first spinoff movie will be called "Kingsman: The Great Game", which will focus on the spy organisation during the '90s, and the second has no title yet but will follow the American agents played by Channing Tatum, Halle Berry and Jeff Bridges in the 2017 sequel.

Meanwhile, the TV series is said to be eight-hour long, presumably meaning it will consist of eight one-hour long episodes.
