Kim Kardashian's dress for the 2019 Met Gala dress originally had fake nipples attached.

The reality star made a splash at the annual gala in May when she stepped out in the custom wet-look Thierry Mugler number, but in a recent episode of her family's TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which was filmed before the bash, Kim and her husband Kanye West appeared to have a disagreement over whether the outfit was "too sexy".

Yet, during a recent appearance on The Real, the 39-year-old explained that the rapper wasn't bothered about the ensemble, but the fake nipples on the front.

"Well, the dress initially... since I was wet coming out of the water, there were nipples attached to it," commented Kim, adding that the discussion over the design must have been edited out of the programme. "I think, with editing..., I'm not sure if we actually put that part into that fight (on the show). He was really certain that he didn't want that on the dress and had mentioned it multiple times. And that was still on there, so we did have that discussion.

"I obviously want to be appropriate for my children and there's enough for them to see already. I could tone it down a little bit. I totally compromise."

In the original episode, which aired last month, Kanye, 42, stated that he wasn't thrilled about his wife showing off her body now that he's "someone that's married and in love and the father of what's about to be four kids".

His words prompted Kim to fire back, "The night before (the Met Gala) you're going to come in here and say you're not into the corset look? You're giving me really bad anxiety... I don't need any more negative energy."

In conclusion, the brunette beauty stated: "You built me up to be a sexy person and have confidence! Just because you're on a journey and you're in a transformation, doesn't mean I'm in the same spot with you!"
