Kylie Jenner should prepare to welcome another Keeping Up With The Kardashians member to the club, after Forbes announces Kim Kardashian is officially a billionaire.

The 40-year-old star, who names Kim Kardashian Beauty and Skims under her portfolio of businesses, saw her net worth soar from $780m (£564m) in October to $1bn (£723m) this month, the magazine reports.

Income from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, real estate and various endorsement deals are also named as the reasons behind the star's huge wealth.

You might remember there was a fairly big debacle amongst the Kardashian-Jenners last year when Forbes tried to strip Kylie Jenner of her billionaire status, alleging she had forged some documents and evidence, which the star denied.

The same year, Kim's husband at the time, Kanye West, took to Twitter to claim his then-wife was about to become a billionaire in her own right. He celebrated her alleged newfound status in the most Kanye West way possible - with a bizarre tribute that fans couldn't quite understand.

The sentimental message read:

"I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire. You’ve weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family. So blessed this is still life. So I made you this still life. We love you so much."

And while there was no denying how sweet the tribute is, fans trolled the rapper for the choice of picture - a collection of vegetables. It's unclear whether Kim was in fact a billionaire at the time, or if it's a recent development as Forbes suggest.

Anyway, back to Kim's younger sister Kylie. She was stripped of her billionaire status by Forbes in June 2020, after they alleged Kylie made up much of her business's background. The Forbes report, in an article titled ‘Kylie Jenner's Web Of Lies', claims that Kylie "inflated the size and success of her business for years".

Kylie hit back to claim she had never asked for her supposed billionaire status, writing, "What am I even waking up to. I thought this was a reputable site... all I see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. I've never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there ever. Period."

In a separate tweet, Kylie responded to claims around her tax returns, quoting the original report and tweeting, "'Even creating tax returns that were likely forged' that's your proof? So you just THOUGHT they were forged? Like actually what am I reading."

Maybe there are two billionaires in the family now!
