Kim Kardashian's extremely cinched waist: How the reality star fitted into her Met Gala 2019 dress

Kim Kardashian has revealed the corset bodysuit she wore under her skin-tight Met Gala dress.

The 38-year-old reality star wore one of her most jaw-dropping looks yet at the star-studded event on Monday night.

The Thierry Mugler gown, created by the fashion house’s founder, appeared to cling like a second skin to the star’s frame, leaving many wondering how Kardashian’s waist looked so small.

The answer? An extremely tight corset and control pant combo.

Kardashian revealed the combo in a video filmed by US Vogue.

In order to accentuate her waist, she was “laced into” a corset so tight it prevented her from sitting down.

“OK, so, Anna, if I don’t sit down for dinner, now you know why. I’ll be walking around, mingling, talking, but I cannot hardly sit,” Kardashian tells the camera, addressing US Vogue editor Anna Winter – who has chaired the event since 1995.

“I can only like half sit,” she adds.

The post also reveals the corset garment was custom-made by “the world’s foremost corset-maker” Mr Pearl.

South African born corsetier Pearl, who is also known as Mark Erskine-Pullin, has previously worked with luxury fashion giants including Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano.

Of course, it takes more than just an extremely tight corset to create a waist of such epically small proportions.

Melissa Alcantara, Kardashian’s personal trainer, recently opened up about the star’s gruelling exercise regime.

“To make things clear,” she wrote in an Instagram story, “1. This dress is corseted BUT 2. Kim trains her ass off 6 days a f–king week, she wakes up early AF and is dedicated.”

In the past, Kardashian has also posted about using a waist trainer – a high-compression shaping garment designed for home use – in order to keep her waist tiny.

Kardashian’s Met Gala dress isn’t the first figure-hugging look she has squeezed into this year.

Back in February, she wore a Thierry Mugler dress so skimpy it barely covered her nipples.
