13 Mar – A week after the shooting incident that occurred in Quezon City, Kim Chiu recently took to social media to express her thoughts about the whole ordeal.

The actress shared a photo of herself on Instagram and wrote, "That day made me realize life is really short, life is very precious and most of all felt God's presence as he protected me, my PA and my driver. None of us was hurt. He is really powerful amongst us all."

Chiu said that she considered the whole matter a miracle, that God was with them and so were their guardian angels.

She also thanked several people in the post, including "Love Thy Women" director Lauren Dyogi who picked her up at taping and secured her safety all throughout, as well as ABS-CBN bosses Cory Vidanes], Mark [Lopez] and Carlo [Katigbak], her Star Magic family Tita Mariole and Mr M, her handler Edith Farinas, sister Lakam, and friend Ranvel Rufino for "urgently went on set with lawyers with him".

"So many people helped me get through this I am blessed to be surrounded with these kind of people. They don't have to do this amount of trouble, but still they insisted to help me," she added.

Chiu stated that she realised a lot of things - that there are people who are willing to help, people who care for you and people who just want to bring you down.

"I don't want to get mad at them or "hate" them. My heart is full of gratitude, I'm just happy that I am here posting another IG post and thanking HIM for this Precious life! Life goes on!" she added.

It was back on 4 March when Chiu's van was hit with six gunshots along Katipunan Avenue corner C.P. Garcia Avenue by two gunmen on a motorbike. The actress stated that she was lying down for a nap at the time and might have been hit otherwise.
