31 Mar – Kim Chiu recently admitted that she felt frustrated over allegations that the shooting incident that she experienced earlier this month was staged.

As reported on Rappler, the actress who posted a video online to address the allegations, stated that it bothered her that someone is accusing her and her team of faking such a harrowing incident.

"I wondered why would they say that? Why would anybody believe that? Does someone really need to be hit, die, or get hurt for people to believe that it was real?" she asked.

Chiu also stated that she would never try to put anyone's life in danger in the name of publicity.

In the same video, the actress revealed that the actual target of the shooting has actually come out and reached out to one of the bosses of ABS-CBN. Chiu then expressed hope that she will no longer need to talk about the incident again in the future.

Chiu, her personal assistant, and driver were inside their van on their way to the set of her new drama, "Love Thy Woman" back on 4 March, when two gunmen on a motorbike fired at the vehicle at the corner of Katipunan Avenue and CP Garcia Avenue in Quezon City.
