…Tony Stark dies in Endgame, sacrificing his life to save the world (and his friends), wiping out Thanos and his army with the snap of a finger. It’s a truly moving moment, which leads directly to another massively emotional scene – Stark’s funeral.

During that funeral the camera swoops past various characters, including Thor, Valkyrie, Doctor Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Shuri, and…. WHO?

We see a sad looking teenager, who hasn’t been in the film, and doesn’t get a line in this scene.

We can totally understand if you don’t immediately recognise him, but that’s Harley Keener, the smart kid from Iron Man 3 who Tony made a connection with, played by the same actor (Ty Simpkins) who’s had the kind of growth spurt in the last six years that’d make Bran from Game Of Thrones look short.

We’re not sure if it’s a special cameo for fans, or if we’ll see Harley again in the MCU (he seems pretty poised to take over the Iron Man mantle, if Tony’s daughter Morgan doesn’t get there first). But, either way, it’s a bold move to stick someone only die-hard fans would recognise in a one-shot cameo, especially for a moment that feels so significant, without explaining why.
