Khalil Fong to focus on nurturing new talents
29 Jun - Despite defeating other giants like Jay Chou and Yoga Lin to win Best Male Artiste at the Golden Melody Awards recently, Hong Kong singer Khalil Fong shared that he will not rush into recording new songs.
As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who spoke to the media after winning the award, which is his first after his sixth nomination, shared that the fastest he can start on a new album would be next year.
For the time being, Khalil said that he would like to focus on the album at hand, "Journey to the West", and manage his company, Fu Music. He also hopes to nurture new talents through Fu Music and his new production team, JTW.
"The music [industry] has given me a lot, so now I would like to give back to the [industry]. I will continue to work hard," he said.
When asked how he will celebrate his victory, Khalil said that he will have a good meal with friends soon.
