14 Feb – American singer Khalid and British rapper Stormzy are the latest acts to reschedule their Asia tour dates due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
The respective organisers of Khalid's concerts in Singapore and Malaysia have released a press statement announcing the postponement.
"Due to the recent advisories and travel restrictions in several Asian countries, Khalid will be postponing his upcoming tour of Asia. Our highest priority remains the safety of Khalid's fans, his team and everyone who has been working on these concerts," said the press statement.
"We are actively working on rescheduled concert dates, with more information to be announced soon on www.khalidofficial.com."
Unlike other postponed concerts, however, the current tickets will no longer be valid for the new dates and fans will be required to purchase new tickets for the postponed shows. Good news, everyone gets a full refund.
There are no refund details yet for the Malaysian leg of the tour from organiser InTour Live but for Singapore, fans can request for either credit card refunds or cash refunds (from 24 February to 8 March 2020) and call +65 3158 8588 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Refund hours for Singapore are as follows:
Monday to Saturday: 10am to 8pm
Sundays and Public Holidays: 12pm to 8pm
As for Stormzy, he posted on Instagram: "I was seriously looking forward to bringing the #HITH World tour to Asia and playing some epic sold out shows but due to the ongoing health and travel concerns surrounding the Coronavirus, I'm regrettably having to reschedule this leg of the Tour."
He added that "information regarding the rescheduled dates will follow in due course" and advised fans to contact their local ticket vendor for any further queries.
Khalid and Stormzy were originally scheduled to kick off their respective tours in Asia, which also included South Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and India, this March.
