In a departure from the fried chicken that it is famous for, fast food chain KFC will be launching a grilled chicken menu item in Singapore for the first time on Wednesday (1 August).

Priced at $5.90, the KFC Signature Grilled Chicken – an oven-grilled whole quarter-leg chicken – is coated with the restaurant’s signature marinade, comprising paprika chilli, pepper, garlic, onion and herbs.

KFC will be offering the grilled chicken in several of its meals, such as the Signature Grilled Chicken Meal, which consists of one grilled quarter leg, Whipped Potato, Coleslaw and Pepsi Black, priced at $8.85.

There are also the Signature Grilled Chicken Box priced at $10.95, which includes one grilled quarter leg, two Hot & Crispy Tenders, one regular fries, a Whipped Potato and a Pepsi Black; as well as the Grilled Chicken Variety Meal priced at $19.95, which includes one grilled quarter leg, two pieces of fried chicken, three Hot & Crispy Tenders, one medium Whipped Potato, one medium Coleslaw and two Pepsi Blacks.

KFC will also be introducing the Garden Salad – a mix of mesclun salad served with soy sesame dressing – to its menu, priced at $2.20.

The new Signature Grilled Chicken will be sold at all KFC outlets except the outlets at Changi Airport Terminal 1, Jurong West Street 51, KidZania, Singapore Zoo and Toa Payoh Lorong 1.
