KFC’s new menu additions include Chicken ‘N Waffles & sweet potato poppers

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to chicken out from your healthy diet and revel in some crunchy, crispy, finger-lickin’ fare, this is it. I think I’m on a hot (and oily) streak with fried chicken-related articles lately, but let me assure you that KFC‘s new menu additions are nowhere as wacky as chocolate-coated, peanut topped fried chicken from Mom’s Touch. Instead, we’re headed straight for the familiar combination of Chicken ‘N Waffles that’s been tried, tested, and loved by all of us.

This iconic duo of Chicken ‘N Waffles is available in both a la carte (S$6.95) or as a meal (S$8.95+), which comes with a drink and fries. You can choose to stick with the status quo by opting for their Original Recipe flavour, or zhng up your meal by adding a spicy twist to your already sweet-and-savoury combination with their Hot & Crispy flavour.

If you don’t want to get your hands dirty, KFC is also offering Tenders ‘N Waffles (S$7.95+), which consists of the same made-to-order waffles served alongside three pieces of chicken tenders.

And while you’re at it, might as well add on KFC’s Sweet Potato Poppers, which will set you back S$1.95 for five pieces, and S$3.95 for 10 pieces. These adorably coloured golden and purple balls are inspired by the popular Taiwanese street snack and will be available in all outlets except Singapore Zoo starting from 6 October 2021. You can expect these crispy treats to be filled with a creamy sweet potato paste on the inside.
