Kevin Kwan confirms Kris Aquino is part of "Crazy Rich Asians"!
21 Aug - After months of speculations, Singaporean novelist Kevin Kwan has recently confirmed Kris Aquino's involvement in the Hollywood adaptation of his book, "Crazy Rich Asians".
As reported on Sunstar, the author gave his response to speculations about Aquino's casting recently on ANCs "Headstart", saying, "Kris Aquino is part of the cast".
However, he added, "I'm absolutely not allowed to say anything other than that."
When asked if she is playing a big role or a cameo in the movie, Kwan stated that it would be a special role and that audiences "are going to love it".
Kwan also admitted that he has yet to meet Aquino in person, despite having communicated with her online, but added that he has a soft spot for the Queen of All Media.
"She's Kris Aquino. What else is there to say? She's a dynamic personality and we just thought she would be perfect for this role," he added.
The upcoming movie stars many top Asian stars including Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, "Fresh Off the Boat" star Constance Wu, British model-actress Gemma Chan, and Filipino-American comedian, Nico Santos.
