Kevin Costner Shut Down the Comments on the Latest 'Yellowstone' Promo with One Epic Sentence

Yellowstone fans have a lot to be concerned about as they await the show's November 7 return. The season 3 finale left three of the Duttons in serious peril: John (Kevin Costner) and Kayce (Luke Grimes) were involved in separate shootings, and a bomb went off at Beth's (Kelly Reilly) office. But devoted viewers will remember that one more star's life is in jeopardy: beloved ranch hand Jimmy Hurdstram (Jefferson White) was injured in a rodeo accident at the end of season 3.

This isn't Jimmy's first rodeo accident. Earlier in the show, the character was seriously injured. John helped pay his medical bills, but made Jimmy promise to give up the rodeo. At the encouragement of his love interest, Mia (Eden Brolin), Jimmy defied John and lay unconscious in one of the season 3 cliffhangers after getting bucked off a horse.

White told TVInsider about his character's potentially fateful decision: "...if he gets back up, not only would he be very badly injured, but he’s also broken his word to John Dutton, which is its own kind of consequence. The only ally he’s ever really had, the only people that have ever really supported him, is the Yellowstone, and to break his word with John Dutton, he’s seen the consequences of what it means to break your word to John Dutton, so I think that’s a really scary new reality to be living in, or would theoretically be living in."

Jimmy and John took the debate to Instagram when Yellowstone posted a season 4 promo video that featured Jimmy's accident.

The video shows Jimmy's first accident and John's ultimatum and Rip Wheeler's (Cole Hauser) voice saying, "There's two roads in life. One is you're winning or learning. The other is you're losing, all the way to the grave." The caption reads, "Jimmy broke his promise to John Dutton. Find out which road he ends up on in the #YellowstoneTV season 4 premiere November 7, exclusively on @paramountnetwork."

Costner jumped in the comments section with one very ominous warning: "Pity the man who breaks a promise to John Dutton." White responded with his own plea: "We’ve come a long way together - hold on a little longer!!"

Fans are desperate to see how this plays out. One wrote, "Can’t wait any longer!!😭😭😭" and another said, "Why u gotta do that to John, Jimmy⁉️⁉️😆😆😆?" Another commented, "Jimmy isn’t Jimmy unless he’s ridin’! I hope he keeps going even though John disapproves!"

We seriously hope there's much more of Jimmy in season 4!
