Kevin Cheng: I am at the happiest in my life

11 Nov – Kevin Cheng recently admitted that he prefers staying home with his family than chasing projects far away from home at this point of his life.

In an interview with Mingpao recently, the actor, who has two sons with former Miss Hong Kong Grace Chan, stated that he is now at his happiest despite the lesser amount of work he has as compared to the past.

"I am not expecting to retire from showbiz right now, but I can choose to do it. Now all I hope for is to play a role that impresses the audience. That is my goal," he said.

Asked if he has any confidence about winning TV King for the third time through his performance in "Kids' Lives Matter", Kevin stated that he has passed the stage of pursuing awards.

"It would be great to win an award, but I think the new generation should win it because the award may change their lives and take their career to the next level," he said.

On the other hand, when asked if he would let his sons become an actor like him, Kevin said that he and Grace would prefer if their kids contribute to society by becoming professionals instead.

"If they are interested in this industry, they need to be 18 first and finish their studies before taking this path," he added.
