Kenneth Chan returns with ViuTV's "Dark City"

20 Dec – Kenneth Chan is making his Hong Kong television comeback through the new ViuTV series, "Dark City".

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared at the press conference held on 19 December, shared that he will play the role of the god of death in the drama, adding that the character is as illusive as his character as Yamamoto Katsuo in the ATV drama, "I Have a Date with a Vampire".

"The character is not your typical Death. He has a lighter side. I'm very happy to be working with the director and to have unlimited space for creativity for this role," he said.

Asked how long since his last drama, Kenneth shared that his last series was the 2018's "Shadow of Justice".

"It's been a year since I filmed a Hong Kong drama, and several months since my last mainland drama. A lot of dramas in mainland China have stopped filming as they were affected by the situation in Hong Kong. Some of these projects had to stop using Hong Kong actors or decided not to forgo with casting them at all. I hope the situation will come to an end," he said.
