26 Jun – Filipino-American model Kelsey Merritt is not ready to become a full-time artiste in the Philippines, despite signing a contract with Viva Artists Agency recently.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the model who announced that she is now represented by Viva on social media, explained that she did not sign an acting contract, but for possible endorsements in the country.

"I'm not ready yet to do a full-time showbiz career in the Philippines. I really love modelling. That was my dream that I really wanted to do from the start," she said.

The LA-based Pampanga born Merritt also added that having some family members and friends in the country also made signing with Viva a good decision for her, as it will give her more reason to visit them more often.

However, the model stated that she is not saying no on a possible showbiz career in the Philippines in the future.

"I was never passionate about acting. But I am actually thinking about taking some acting classes here in Los Angeles, since I'm now here in Hollywood or doing some auditions. I was thinking about doing that," she added.
