Kelly Osbourne underwent gastric bypass surgery two years before her dramatic 85 pound (38 kilogram) weight loss.
The star has revealed the procedure was a big part of her slim down, insisting she would never lie about how she achieved her new slender frame.
"I had surgery," she said during an interview on Hollywood Raw with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn.
"I don't give a f**k what anyone has to say. I did it, I'm proud of it, they can suck s**t. I did the gastric sleeve," she declared.
The 35-year-old added, "All it does is change the shape of your stomach. I got that almost two years ago... It is the best thing I have ever done."
Kelly admitted it took a lot more than surgery to lose the weight: "If you don’t work out and you don’t eat right, you gain weight. All it does is move you in the right direction. So, anyone who’s thinking of doing something like this, really think about that."
Additionally, she told the interviewers that prep for the surgery took a year of stand-alone therapy.
The operation altered her relationship with food and addiction, she said: "What people don’t realise is it cuts out this hormone that if you have addiction issues, it stops your craving, and it makes you not emotionally eat, which is a huge problem for me."
Elsewhere in the interview the star also opened up about her battle with temporomandibular joint dysfunction, revealing she had that addressed too.
"I had really bad TMJ," she shared. "One of the things they did to stop it was they gave me injections in my jaw. It kinda made my jaw look skinnier."
