Kelly Fu denies secret date with Benny Chong
26 Apr - TVB actress Kelly Fu has denied rumours linking her to the CEO of Auto Italia Holdings Limited Benny Chong again.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress sparked rumours of romance with the married CEO again after they were spotted hanging out in their bathing suits at a hotel in Da Nang, Vietnam.
When asked about it recently, Kelly said it was a big misunderstanding, and that it was a coincidence that she ran into him during a trip with a friend.
"That day, I was wearing a swimsuit because we were going on a swimming trip. I saw him, so I went to greet him. We were just chatting happily, but the photo taken made it seemed like it was more than that," she said.
She also claimed to have not met Benny after the trip.
When mentioned that her explanation about coincidentally meeting each other is too convenient, Kelly said that it is usual for her to attend social events, and reiterated that she was there by invitation from a friend and couldn't possibly know who else would be there.
She also expressed hope that the media will focus on her work as an actress in the future.
Rumours of romance between Kelly and Benny sparked back in January 2016, when a photo of her giving Benny a kiss on the cheek while in Milan was published by the tabloids.
