KC Concepcion suggests more makeshift hospitals

26 Mar – KC Concepcion recently urged for more medical care and ICU-equipped centres to be built and created as soon as possible to cater to patients with COVID-19.

As reported on PEP, the actress recently expressed her said opinion on Twitter, following news that some private hospitals would no longer receive these patients due to overcapacity.

"This should be a huge priority right now - to be able to accommodate as many patients as possible to receive better care and have a chance to heal and recover. [Please] Government or NGOs!" she tweeted.

In a series of tweets later on, Concepcion stated that even St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City and Bonifacio Global City are now full of patients.

She also suggested several venues to be converted as a makeshift hospital, including Mall of Asia, SM Aura Conference Center and the Arts Center in BGC.

"It's enclosed, secure close to hospitals and the highway... Also apparently distant from residential areas - medical staff should be able to park and eat there, be housed in hotels nearby, etc. Just hope this is prioritized. Hospitals are turning down patients already. What's the point if our [government] will allow patients to be turned away?" she said.
