Katy Perry looked like a shiny new copper penny at the “Vanity Fair” Oscars after party

We’ve seen some extraordinary outfits in our time, but Katy Perry at the Vanity Fair Oscars party just knocks it out of the park! She wore a stunning copper gown from Jean Paul Gaultier, and — in the best possible way — resembled a shiny new penny

Meaning, the gown shimmered and sparkled in the light. She went totally monochromatic with the accessories, completing the look with a large matching ring and clutch. She also showed off some major leg with not one, but multiple side slits. Combined with her striking platinum blonde locks, this badass ensemble was perfectly playful and classy. Here, take a look:

We’re also very much digging her nude lipstick and brown eye makeup — totally on theme. And from her Twitter feed, it seems like Perry enjoyed her evening celebrating all things-Oscar.

Before Perry met up with BF Bloom later in the evening, she was accompanied by her friend Derek Blasberg, and he posted this video of his date on Insta. It’s pretty great, don’t ya think? (Sweet dog alert).
