Kathy Yuen attends Shanghai festival for the first time

20 Jun – Hong Kong starlet Kathy Yuen admitted that she felt blessed to be able to walk the red carpet at the Shanghai International Film Festival as the lead actress of Benny Lau's new movie, "When Sun Meets Moon".

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who looked stunning in her Jeff Mui dress as she walked hand-in-hand with the director, said that the feeling of being there at the Shanghai festival is different from when they were promoting the movie at the Beijing International Film Festival since the movie was yet to be released when they went to Beijing.

"Now the movie has already opened in Hong Kong and has received a good word of mouth and box office performance, so the trip to Shanghai has been particularly more enjoyable," she said.

When asked why she decided to walk the red carpet with Benny, the actress responded, "For the past few months, the director and I have relied on each other. We went to all the promotions and audience appreciation events together. The more we worked, the happier we were."

Kathy added that she is looking forward to share the '90s nostalgia of "When Sun Meets Moon" to more audiences at the festival.

"This is the first time that I play the lead, so being able to be a part of these festivals have been a great encouragement to me," she added.
