Kathy Griffin gave a sweet nod to her first date with new husband Randy Bick on their wedding day.
The 59-year-old tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend during a surprise New Year's Eve ceremony, just minutes after she had announced their engagement on social media.
Kathy donned a white, short-sleeved Diane Von Furstenberg gown for the nuptials - which were officiated by Lily Tomlin - and she later revealed that the dress was actually the same one she wore on the couple's first date back in 2011.
"This was our first formal date in September 2011! We are in the back of a limo provided by the one only @GloriaEstefan because her team arranged for me to surprise her as a backup 'dancer' when she performed at the Alma awards!" she wrote on Twitter, alongside a nine-year-old photo of her wearing the dress sitting alongside Randy in the limo.
She then explained that she had asked her new husband to pick out his favourite of her long dresses for their wedding, and he chose the elegant number.
"He picked out this dress and showed me this photo. Romance is hotttt again (sic)," Kathy added.
Meanwhile, the couple has also decided to shun wearing traditional wedding rings to symbolise their commitment to one another, simply because they dislike wearing them.
"Neither one of us like wearing rings ever. So we will never wear rings. Deal with it," she told People.
Kathy and Randy began dating in 2011 after meeting at a food and wine festival, and briefly broke up in November 2018, before reconciling a few months later.
