4 Sep – Letting go some of her employees was one of the hardest things she had to do, said Kathryn Bernardo, who had to find ways to keep her business afloat.
As reported on PEP, the actress who owns her own beauty and wellness place, KathNails, said that while they were able to give financial help to their employees in the early days of the pandemic, there is not much she can do given the current situation.
"As much as we try to keep them, given the situation, they still needed to find another job or income. You don't want to be selfish to say that they should stay here. At the end of the day, we told them that they still have a choice. They can leave if they want, but they can also come back, especially since there are so many people that are unemployed right now," she said.
As for her plans for the business in the current times, Bernardo said that they will be reopening this month after finding creative ways to ensure safety for the customers - including the use of protective gears, gloves and masks.
