KathNiel named favourite foreign stars in Vietnam
16 Jan – Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo recently won Favourite Foreign TV Actor and Actress at the Blue Star Award's 4th Face of the Year Awards in Vietnam.
According to ABS-CBN, the onscreen couple, who gained a following in Vietnam after the success of their hits "Got to Believe" and "Pangako Sa 'Yo", weren't able to attend the event and instead sent a video to express their gratitude for the honour.
"Thank you once again for making me your choice for your favourite foreign actor for the 2017 Face of the Year award. I am so grateful to all my fans and supporters and I am sorry I can't be there to personally thank you from the bottom of my heart," said Padilla.
Bernardo also shared similar speech, adding, "We're so sorry we can't be there to personally receive the award but know that we are forever thankful and grateful to our fans and the organiser of the award."
She also expressed hope that they would one day be able to visit the country.
Padilla and Bernardo defeated other international contenders including fellow Filipinos, JC de Vera, Mikael Daez, Meg Imperial and Andrea Torres.
They previously won the same categories at the 2015 edition of the awards.
