Katherine Ho announces separation not a year into marriage
8 May – After surprising many with her decision to marry 66-year-old businessman Ng Chi Sing, beauty queen-turned-actress Katherine Ho recently announced that the two of them are separating not a year into marriage.
As reported on Mingpao, the TVB 26-year-old starlet, known for her small role in the period drama, "Deep in the Realm of Conscience", shared the news on social media writing, "We have mutually decided to separate peacefully. We're parting as good friends, thanking one another and giving each other's blessings."
She also confirmed the divorce with Mingpao when asked about it following the announcement, reiterating that it was a peaceful separation.
Asked if she is pressured over allegations that she married Ng for money, she responded, "I don't feel any sense of pressure. There is nothing else I want to say."
It is noted that prior to her divorce announcement, Katherine did share a photo of the cast of "Come Home Love: Lo and Behold".
When asked if she is making her return to work, Katherine admitted that she is now involved in the said sitcom.
Katherine won second runner-up in the 2014 Miss Hong Kong pageant and has been playing several minor characters in TVB dramas like "Two Steps From Heaven", "Succession War" and "Come Home Love: Lo and Behold". She reportedly had been dating the SGM Holdings' top executive for three years prior to their marriage in July 2018.
