First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and the Duchess of Cambridge are teaming up.

On Friday, Kate Middleton and the first lady met up in Cornwall, England to visit a local school and chat with teachers and students. For the high-profile meeting between the two women, Duchess Kate wore a bold magenta belted midi dress by Alexander McQueen, paired with nude pumps and delicate hoop earrings. First Lady Jill Biden also opted for a bright color for the school visit, wearing a hot pink blazer layered over an A-line white dress and Valentino slingback sandals. Kate wore her hair in a prim blowout with a side part, while Dr. Biden wore hers styled in her signature layered cut for the occasion.

The meeting between Kate and the first lady is a fitting match, considering the duchess has dedicated much of her royal career to highlighting the importance of early childhood education and Dr. Biden has spent decades as an educator herself. Following the pair's school visit, they also participated in an early education roundtable where they discussed the importance of prioritizing early childhood education.

Their Cornwall engagement comes ahead of tonight's G-7 Summit reception that Kate and other royals—including Prince William, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, and the queen herself—are expected to attend, according to The Washington Post. Hosted by the Prince of Wales, the event will bring together leaders of the G-7 countries (the United States, Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan) at the Eden Project, an attraction housing large bio-domes, to emphasize the environmental focus of this year's gathering.
