The Duchess of Cambridge is eager to meet the royal family's newest bundle of joy.

During a panel discussion with First Lady Jill Biden about the importance of early childhood education, Kate was asked about her new niece, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's newborn daughter, Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, and expressed that she hasn't been able to meet baby Lili yet, but she hopes she will be able to in the near future.

"I wish her all the very best," Kate said, when asked how she felt about the Sussexes' newest addition. "I can't wait to meet her. We haven't met her yet. I hope that will be soon."

Kate was also asked if she had seen Lili via FaceTime or video call and responded that, no, she had not yet.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their baby girl on June 4 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and announced her birth to the world two days later.

"On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we've felt from across the globe," a note from the couple read. "Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."

The Cambridges joined other members of the royal family in sharing their well wishes for the Sussexes and their new daughter.

"We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili," Prince William and Kate wrote on social media. "Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie."

Harry and Meghan are currently settling into their life as a family of four at home in Montecito, California, and are expected to take 20 weeks of parental leave.
