While everyone has been busy obsessing over a mostly-likely fictional fight between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, Kate and Pippa Middleton's mother Carole Middleton just gave her first ever interview, and shared what it's like to have a royal as a son-in-law.

The interview was published in The Telegraph this weekend, and it looks like Carole is just as charming as seems. She opened up about her high-profile children, saying "My biggest fear [as her offspring grew up] was that I’d lose my family, but we’ve stayed close." She also adds, "I have two lovely sons-in-law and...I hope I’ll have a lovely daughter-in-law." (Reminder: Kate and Pippa have a brother who is not yet married.)

Carole also revealed that she had a heavy hand in planning Kate's wedding, saying, "We talked about music…everything. I was involved lots with both Pip’s and Catherine’s weddings."

And even with all of the attention that her daughter's husband has brought to Carole's family, she tries to keep things as normal as possible. Carole shares, "I have two other children and grandchildren and my job, and I lead a lot of my life round here, where I’ve lived for years and people knew me before Catherine’s…impact. It isn’t normal maybe to go to Louis’ christening or Catherine’s wedding, but, in the end, they’re all family events."

And while I guess she has a point, attending a royal wedding and being friendly with the queen sounds VERY awesome, and I would not be able to keep cool as well as Carole clearly has been.
