Karry Wang hasn't been home in two years

13 Aug – TFBOYS' Karry Wang (Wang Junkai) recently admitted that it has been a couple of years since he returned home to Chongqing after experiencing a surge of popularity in 2016.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who joined the second season of the reality show, "Chinese Restaurant", recently revealed the fact on the show while riding a car along a field trail.

While looking at the green crops on both sides of the road, he said, "Do you want to know how long since I last return home to Chongqing? I haven't been home since my college entrance examination."

Karry, who made his debut as a member of TFBOYS in 2013, shared that he had a chance to return to his hometown in Chongqing to prepare for his exam back in 2016, but hasn't been home again since, especially after enrolling in the Beijing Film Academy the year after.

"I am a sophomore now, yes. I have been busy working and going to classes that I didn't have the time to go back," he said.

With tears in his eyes, Karry said that he would love to come home soon.

"I especially want to eat barbecue and Chongqing noodles," he said.

However, the 18-year-old said that he understands full well the sacrifice he had to make in order to fulfill his dream of performing.

In a previous interview, he told the media that "It's natural for you to win some and lose some."
