Karena Lam still wants Jacky Chung to win Best Actor
24 Oct - Although her co-star Jacky Cheung didn't win Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards previously, actress Karena Lam is still hoping to see him on the stage with a similar accolade at the upcoming Golden Horse Awards.
As reported on Mingpao News, the actress, who attended a culinary event recently, stated that she really has confidence in Jacky, who was nominated and worked with her in the movie "Heaven in the Dark".
"To win or not to win really depends on fate and one's luck. But I want him to win. Although the other nominees are very talented as well, for me, Jacky will always be the best actor," she said.
As for herself, Karena said she is not disappointed that she wasn't nominated, saying that she knows that there are still some room for improvement for her.
As for now, the actress stated that she is busy being a mother and looking for the best school for her eldest daughter Kayla.
"I am taking a break until January to concentrate on schools' interviews," she said.
