Karen Gillan Lands Female Lead In Indie ‘All Creatures Here Below’

EXCLUSIVE: Karen Gillan has been set as the female lead in All Creatures Here Below, the indie drama written by and starring David Dastmalchian. Collin Schiffli, who teamed with Dastmalchian on the 2014 SXSW pic Animals, is directing.

Dastmalchian and Gillan will play a desperate young couple on the run who seek refuge in Kansas City. Amy Greene, Ignacio Arenas and Chris Stinson are producing.

Gillan is reprising her role as Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which just showed off its wares at Comic-Con. The former Doctor Who and Selfie star is next up in Ti West’s In a Valley of Violence opposite Ethan Hawke, and she is in the James Ponsoldt-helmed The Circle.

She is repped by UTA, Troika in the UK and Jakoway Tyerman.
