Karen Elson is "very excited" to be the face of Shiseido's new skincare range.
The British supermodel took to Instagram on Monday to announce that she has been tapped to front the campaign for the Japanese beauty giant's Vital Perfection range.
Alongside a close-up image depicting Karen gazing at the camera, she wrote, "Very excited and proud to announce that I'm the face of one of my all-time favourite beauty brands @shiseido for its new #VitalPerfection skincare line. Based on five years of research these products are incredible!"
The 40-year-old went on to share that she will be spending the next two days in Paris with the Shiseido team to "talk about all things skincare".
Karen's debut campaign was shot by photographer Daniel Jackson and she was styled by her glam squad Kenji Toyota, Melissa Levy, and Takeda Rena, who is Shiseido's global make-up artist.
And in a separate post on her Instagram Stories, the mother-of-two explained that she was thrilled to be fronting a beauty campaign in her forties - something she wouldn't have imagined possible even a few years ago.
"If someone would have told me five years ago I would have a skincare campaign with Shiseido, I would not have believed it," Karen commented. "Goes to show that age is (a) number, not something that defines you. I've never felt better and 40 is so far putting my 20s and 30s to shame."
The model rose to fame in the 1990s, when her red hair and chiselled cheekbones caught the attention of designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, and Marc Jacobs.
More recently, she has served as a brand ambassador for Jo Malone London and appeared in campaigns for Anna Sui, Burberry, and Tiffany & Co.
