Kara Hui wins Best Actress at Huading Awards
14 Dec – Kara Hui is adding another Best Actress accolade to her shelf as she won the said award at the recently held 26th Huading Awards.
As reported on On CC, the actress, who attended the event held on 10 December, accepted the award for her performance as the manipulative Chief Superintendent Man Hei Wah in the TVB-Tencent collaborative series, "The Defected".
Expressing her gratitude for the honour in Mandarin, Kara said that it has been ten years since she last filmed a television drama and was thankful to have been given the chance to do so by the producers.
"I really hope that viewers were able to watch my performance, and hopefully I will get to play a role in more great productions. I don't want to disappoint my supporters," she said.
Asked if she would increase her fee now that she has won another Best Actress award for her television performance, Kara stressed that money is not as important as a good story and script.
It was also rumoured that Kara will be one of the actresses to get a good chance at winning Best Actress at the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards.
