Kara Hui not interested in doing "The Defected 2"
17 May – Although her character in the TVB series "The Defected" was well-received by the public, Kara Hui stated that she is not interested in filming a prequel or another instalment of the same franchise.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who attended the finale banquet for the said drama recently, stated that rather than do a sequel or a prequel, she proposes that the producer start a new story instead.
"If the script is good, I would of course love to participate in the project," she said, adding that she has been enjoying a newfound popularity among television viewers since starring in the drama.
As for co-star Oscar Leung, the actor said that he has no issue returning to a second instalment if there is any.
"I won't say no. I really like my role," he said.
Oscar also stated that people really liked his chemistry with co-star Joman Chiang.
"In reality, we are both married [to other people]. It should be hard to play a couple, but the audience seemed to welcome our collaboration," he enthused.
