Kara Hui eyes prize for TV and theatre

24 Apr – After winning Best Supporting Actress yet again at the Hong Kong Film Awards, Kara Hui is planning to expand her domination in television and theatre as well.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke to the media after winning the said award for her role in "Tracey", shared that winning awards in all three acting platforms would be a grand slam.

"But it will depend on luck. It's hard to get a good play," she said.

At the same time, Kara also admitted that she felt a bit guilty about winning the said award after having won before.

"But it proves that the votes are fair. I did guess all the winners correctly except for my category. I didn't expect to win," she said.

Kara also stressed that she will continue to support new filmmakers like "Tracey" director Jun Li.

"Most of the award-winning films in recent years were made by new directors. To support them is quite an honour," she said.
