Kaki Leung confirms departure from TVB
9 Apr – TVB has lost another artiste, as actress Kaki Leung confirmed reports that she has already left the company.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who spoke to the media about her departure, stated that she is thankful for all the experience she gained in the past 13 years from the company, but that it is time for her to grow and expand her talent.
"There are several new jobs in negotiations right now. I plan to take advantage of this time to expand my skills and focus on my online clothing business for now," she said.
As for rumours that she was forced to leave the company for her support of the Hong Kong protests of 2019, Kaki said that she would rather not make any comments about the issue.
The actress also took to social media following the news of her departure, writing, "I've fallen in love with hiking in the past six months. As long as you work hard and persist, there will be light at the end of the tunnel, a beautiful scenery waiting in front of you."
