Kai Ko moves on from past experience

23 Oct - Kai Ko recently arrived at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival to promote his movie "The Road to Mandalay", and admitted that he is humbled by the recent nomination at the Golden Horse Awards.

As reported on Mingpao News, the actor, who appeared at the event alongside director Midi Z and co-star Wu Ke-xi, stated that he is looking forward to attending the event, which will be held in Taipei in November.

"I have confidence in myself, but of course, the other competitors are very strong and they are all my seniors," said Ko, when asked about his chance on winning Best Actor.

When asked of his thoughts about the public backlash regarding his nomination due to his previous drug scandal, Ko responded that he is already used to the criticisms and will not take it to heart.

The actor will be competing for the Golden Horse Best Actor accolade with Hong Kong stars Jacky Cheung and Tony Leung Ka Fai, "Godspeed" actor Michael Hui, and "Mr. No Problem" star Fan Wei.
