17 Sep – With BTS once again named the Honorary Tourism Ambassadors of Seoul for the third year in a row, K-pop fans are probably even more eager to visit the South Korean capital.

Luckily for Koreanophiles in Malaysia, planning a trip to Seoul can be made easier, simply by paying a visit to the 3-day Seoul Culture Showroom that will be held by Seoul Tourism Organization (STO) this weekend.

Here are the details for the Seoul Culture Showroom in Kuala Lumpur:
Dates: 20 – 22 September 2019 (Friday – Sunday)
Venue: Ground Floor, East Atrium, MyTOWN Shopping Centre

Held in conjunction with the promotion of the 2019 campaign, "Live Seoul like I do, Create & Share", the event is designed specifically to give Malaysians a glimpse of the cultural diversity they could experience when they visit Seoul.

At the event, visitors will get to dance to the hottest K-pop tracks, try on colourful hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) and savour delicious Korean snacks – like the Binggrae Banana Milk – at the Seoul Halal Café.

"As Muslims are emerging as a key tourism market, competing Asian countries including Taiwan and Japan are actively attracting Muslim travelers," said Byun Dong-hyun, the Chief Director of the Global Marketing Team in STO, in a press statement.

"We will focus on expanding infrastructure for Muslims in Seoul reflecting their needs and preferences, while promoting Muslim infrastructures such as halal restaurants and prayer rooms that we already have."

Visitors will get hands-on experience at the "My Curating Seoul" zone, where they can make their own guidebook of key tourism attractions and delicious local food in Seoul.

Visitors will find that STO has carefully crafted the upcoming event with information highlighting Seoul's infrastructure that caters to Muslim travellers, which includes Seoul Infra Map where it highlights location of halal-certified and pork-free restaurants, prayer rooms, and more.

Moreover, to receive exciting gifts from the event, just participate in the activities. K-pop fans will also find themselves loading on freebies like posters and shopping bags!

Souvenirs from Korea are available for redemption by subscribing to STO's social media channels (www.visitseoul.net, www.instagram.com/visitseoul_official, www.youtube.com/visitseoul).

And of course, a new 2019 Seoul tourism promotional video featuring BTS will be making its debut at the event!
