K-dramas to look out for in 2017

The year 2016 churned out lots of hit dramas, such as ‘Descendants Of The Sun’, ‘Moonlight Drawn By Clouds’, ‘Legend Of The Blue Sea’ and ‘Goblin’. But what about 2017?

Fortunately, there is no lack of dramas for fans to look forward to. Already, ‘While You Sleep’ (starring Lee Jong-suk and Miss A’s Suzy) and ‘Master Of The Mask’ (starring Kim So-hyun and Yoo Seung-ho) are drawing attention.

And just a month into 2017, these recently released titles have already shown a lot of promise – detective drama ‘Voice’, Lee Young-ae’s comeback piece ‘Saimdang’ (14 years after her breakout role in ‘Jewel In The Palace’), and the mysterious ‘Missing 9’ that gives off major ‘Lost’ and ‘Hunger Games’ vibes.

Taking over the time slot of hit drama ‘Goblin’ is the romantic comedy ‘Tomorrow With You’, a story of a time traveler (played by Lee Je-hoon) and his wife (Shin Min-ah).

‘Voice’, starring Jang Hyuk, Super Junior’s Yesung, and Lee Ha-na. First aired in Korea on 14 Jan 2017.

‘Missing 9’, starring an ensemble cast of Jung Kyung-ho, EXO’s Chanyeol, Choi Tae-joon, Baek Jin-hee and Kim Sang-ho, among others. First aired in Korea on 18 Jan 2017.

‘Saimdang’, starring Lee Young-ae and Song Seung-heon. First aired in Korea on 26 Jan 2017.

‘Tomorrow With You’, starring Shin Min-ah and Lee Je-hoon, will air in Korea on 3 Feb 2017.

‘Master Of The Mask’, starring Kim So-hyun and Yoo Seung-ho, is slated to air in May 2017.

‘While You Sleep’, starring Lee Jung-suk and Miss A’s Suzy, will air in Korea in the latter half of the year.

Voice, Missing 9 are available on viu.com or Viu mobile app, with subtitles, for free. And Viu Premium users can catch the latest episodes of Voice every Sunday and Monday and Missing 9 every Thursday and Friday as fast as 12 hours after Korea’s telecasts.
