Julian Cheung's ex-manager found guilty of fraud

10 Aug – Julian Cheung's former manager has been found guilty for cheating the actor of his money four years ago.

As reported on Epoch Times, District Court judge, Timothy Casewell shared his ruling following the previous trial, saying that the evidence submitted by the plaintiffs are valid and that the 43-year-old Leung Nga-sze will be convicted for three counts of fraud.

It is noted that the offense is punishable by 14 years of imprisonment in Hong Kong.

However, Leung's sentencing will only be revealed on 17 August, pending a social welfare assessment - as the former manager has a five-year-old daughter whose future guardianship is yet to be determined.

Julian previously attended the trial in June, and revealed that he discovered Leung's deception in 2014, upon finding out that his HKD 3.88 million contract with Ogawa was actually worth HKD 4.8 million.

Although Leung denied it at first, she later confessed to her wrongdoing to CEO Stephen Shiu Jr. It was later revealed that she has also defrauded Julian of many of his endorsement fees, including HKD 100,000 from sportswear giant Adidas.
