Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia explains slow dance
23 Mar - Although fans are liking the fact that Julia Barreto and Joshua Garcia's recent slow dance clip went viral, the two stars stressed that they are just very close friends.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, Garcia and Barretto, known by their fans by the tandem JoshLia, seemed awkward at first when asked about the clip, where they held each other and slow danced to "Beauty and the Beast", witnessed by guests at Barretto's birthday party.
Barretto, who decided to speak first, said that Garcia was being sweet when he decided to dance with her.
"From the very beginning, he knows that "Beauty and the Beast" is one of my favourite songs. Of course, it was one of the songs that the singer at my party performed. Out of nowhere, [Joshua pulled me]," she said.
Garcia said that he was only trying to make Barretto feel special that night because she had been busy entertaining guests.
"We're just very comfortable with each other. I really liked her family because they were so kind to me. They were very welcoming of me," he said.
When asked to reveal the real deal about their relationship, Garcia said that it is suffice to call them best friends.
"We care for one another and love each other. Although there is no label or whatever, what's important is that we care for each other," he said.
