Julia Barretto chooses career over her two onscreen partners
27 Feb - Although she is thankful for the welcoming reception for her performance with Joshua Garcia in last week's episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya", actress Julia Barretto denied that there is anything romantic going on between them.
According to Push, the actress, who spoke to the media at her contract renewal ceremony recently, stated that she is just happy to be able to show the chemistry she has with Garcia.
"I was really surprised with the feedback, because I didn't really expect that I will be getting that kind of response. Joshua and I really did our best for that episode," she said.
She also revealed that it was their first appearance as a love team on television after the movie, "Vince & Kath & James".
Aside from Garcia, Barretto has also been paired with another lead star from the aforementioned movie, Ronnie Alonte, in the drama, "A Love to Last".
But when asked which of those two men would she choose in real life, Barretto stated that she just wants to focus on her career.
"I don't want to fall into the pressure of having a real life romance. We don't want to lose our focus. I'm just focused because I've been waiting for this time," she said.
