18 Dec – Although she has won Best Actress at the Cairo International Film Festival for her role in "Mindanao", Judy Ann Santos admitted that it does not make her more confident about winning again at the Metro Manila Film Festival's Gabi Ng Parangal.

As reported on Push, the actress, who was asked about her chances at the upcoming awards, said that the most important thing for her right now is to give the audience a great entertainment on Christmas Day.

"At the end of the day, we're all just filming together to give a reason for people to smile, to be happy" she said.

As for the awards, Santos, who is expected to have the biggest possibility to win aside from Meryll Soriano ("Culion") and Carmina Villaroel ("Sunod"), said that winning the accolade would be a bonus.

"But we're doing our job. It's not a competition of acting skills, or who is the best and who is not. At the end of the day, we all worked hard and that's enough," she said, adding that she hopes the movie will do well at the box office.

As for her previous win in Cairo, the actress said that she is just proud to be able to bring such victory to the country.
