Judy Ann Santos challenges herself with "Mrs Reyes"
16 Jan – Many were surprised when dramatic actress Judy Ann Santos decided to make a comeback to showbiz with a comedy film, but according to the actress, she needed the challenge to show a different side of herself to the fans.
As reported on Rappler, the actress, who recently appeared at the press conference of her new movie, "Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes" alongside co-star Angelica Panganiban, shared that she made it her goal to do something different in 2018 when she decided to do the movie.
"I wanted to do a movie that I thought that I would never do before I turn 40. A movie that would make me think twice before accepting, but still do it because it's great," she said.
Santos admitted that doing comedy was really challenging for her, and that she would constantly ask for a feedback from director Jun Lana Robles to ensure that she has done her best.
"I needed that assurance that I was able to deliver the punch line," she added.
Nonetheless, the actress stressed that she enjoyed every second of making the movie as she learned a lot from it.
"Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes" is set to be released on 17 January.
