Joyce Cheng's new movie to close HK Asian Film Festival

28 Sep - Singer-actress Joyce Cheng is ecstatic after finding out that her upcoming film, "29+1", has been selected as one of the closing films at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival.

As reported on On CC News, in addition to being featured in the festival, it was reported that the tickets to the two shows in October at the Broadway Cinematheque was also sold out in just an hour.

"I am very happy," said Joyce. "When I learned the movie was selected as the closing film, I was already touched."

Joyce added that while she mostly played guest roles and funny characters in the past, "29+1" will showcase a more serious performance from her.

"I have been quite stressed out. But now with such great response, I am very happy. I hope everybody would like it," she enthused.

Aside from "29+1", the Fan Bingbing-starrer "I am Not Madame Bovary" has also been selected as the closing movie.
