Joyce Cheng supports music stations' cancelling live award events

13 Nov– Joyce Cheng has no issues with news that two of the four major music awards - the RTHK Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Awards and Metro Radio Hit Awards have decided not to hold its annual live event.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who appeared at a charity event in Central recently, stated that it is an appropriate decision made by the two radio stations in response to the current sociopolitical situation in Hong Kong.

"I won't be disappointed by this. It does not affect our good faith in making music," she added.

Joyce, who has also been spending her free time travelling around visiting relatives, said that for now, she will resume promoting her online drama and songs, as well as shooting the ViuTV show, "Mother's Favourite Meal".

On the other hand, when asked if she has seen good friend Jennifer Tse, who was rumoured to have returned to Hong Kong secretly with her baby girl, the singer said that she has no idea whether it is true or not that the actress has come home.

"But I have seen her baby earlier," she added.
