7 Feb – Joshua Garcia is set to star in an adaptation of Bob Ong's book, "Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan".
As reported on Rappler, the news was announced by film studio Black Sheep on Twitter on 5 February, saying that they will be collaborating with Regal Films and director Chito S. Rono for the upcoming adaptation that will star Garcia in the lead.
The original book tells the story of a college student named Galo who records his scary experiences in a journal, and tries to solve the mysteries he is going through along with his grandmother Susan.
This is not the first time that Ong's book has been adapted for the big screen. Viva Films also previously produced "Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin", and " ABNKKBSNPLAko?! (Aba, Nakakabasa Na Pala Ako?!)"
